Eosiniphilic Esophagitis (EOE)
Consider our research study concerning an eoe medication
EoE is a disease that affects the ability to swallow food. It may be caused by an allergic reaction in the esophagus, which is the tube that sends food from the mouth to the stomach. The allergic reaction causes swelling in the esophagus and makes swallowing food difficult.
Researchers are evaluating an investigational drug to see if it helps give relief by preventing the body from responding to the allergic substance.
You may qualify to take part in this study if you are male or female 12-75 years of age and:
• Diagnosed with EoE
• Have trouble swallowing foods or liquids
• Used or are using proton-pump inhibitor medications but still have symptoms
(these are medications used for heartburn or indigestion, such as omeprazole [Prilosec], lansoprazole [Prevacid], esomeprazole [Nexium])
Additional requirements apply, which the study doctor will discuss with you.
There is no cost to take part in this study. You may be reimbursed for study-related expenses, such as travel and parking fees.
